Yikes! I just realized my Firefox browser needs to be updated! It's up to version 1.04 now. Even though Firefox is more secure than Internet Explorer, it's not invulnerable. Hackers are always working to find holes. But the folks at Mozilla are working, too, and have developed a more secure version that can be downloaded here. You can find more information on Mozilla's security alerts and announcements here.

It's important to keep your system updated. If you're using Windows, go to the Start menu and select Windows Update. If you're using a Macintosh, go to System Preferences and run Software Update. Do this once a week. This will not update things like the Firefox browser, antivirus programs, or spyware detectors. These need to be updated separately.
