Squaring the Dog

When a picture is inserted into a Word document, it often appears on the left side of the document. To easily move it anywhere, follow this procedure.

Click twice on the picture. The Format Picture box will appear.
Click the Layout tab. Under Wrapping Style, click the dog icon labeled Square, then click OK.
The picture will now have "handles" on the corners and on each side. You can now move it by just clicking and dragging with the mouse. It can also be resized without changing its aspect ratio.

Thanks to Colleen Zawadzki for this tip!
