Today's New York Times online has two articles about library technology. The first is about the New York Public Library's new e-books. It mentions the experience of the Cleveland Public Library: "The e-books librarians like best...are the digitized guides and workbooks for standardized tests, which in printed form are notorious for deteriorating quickly or disappearing altogether."

The second article is about a library that uses Tablet PCs to help patrons in the stacks. We've ordered one of these to experiment with.
