Spamhandling

Recently I received an e-mail message from a Russian student, asking for help. He claimed that his mother is sick and that he's so poor that he can't afford to heat their home. Whenever I get a message like this, I check it out on the Urban Legends Reference Pages. There I learned that he's been "spamhandling" like this for 10 years and found his other versions of this message. The Urban Legends Pages has information on many types of scams. Just type some words from a suspicious message in the search box to find out if it's legitimate.
