Giant Coffee Pot

Over the July 4th holiday, I visited my mother in Pennsylvania and we took a drive through Bedford County to look at covered bridges. Along the way we stopped at the giant Coffee Pot, which stands at the entrance to the Bedford fairgrounds. Alas, they don't serve coffee here anymore. The Lincoln Highway Historical Corridor and Roadside America sites have some historical information and photos.

Hey Daveman, I live in Lancaster PA (east side of state)and grew up in Indiana PA (west side of state). I always drive through Bedford on the way home and we always drove through it growing up to go visit my grandparents in Norristown PA (east side). I use the turnpike these days, but we used route30 in the "old" days and I vividly remember that coffeepot!!! Thanks for the visual :-) Hope you enjoyed our fine state.
